Daniel is 100% pro-choice and believes that reproductive healthcare decisions should be made by the woman and her doctor, not by right-wing politicians and extreme judges. The Supreme Court’s outrageous decision to overrule Roe v. Wade opened the door for extremists across the country to force women and young girls to carry unwanted and dangerous pregnancies to term, even in cases of rape or if the mother’s life is at risk.

In Illinois, we are protecting women’s rights. Daniel helped pass the Reproductive Health Act, which ensures that reproductive healthcare is a fundamental right in Illinois despite the Supreme Court’s attempt to turn back the clock by 50 years. Daniel supports increasing funding to Planned Parenthood so they can provide more services to residents of Illinois and women traveling here because abortion is banned in their home state. Illinois must remain a safe haven for reproductive healthcare, and Daniel has made protecting women’s rights one of his top priorities in the legislature.
