Across the country, extreme Republican politicians are banning books that acknowledge the existence of LGBTQ+ people and are demonizing the LGBTQ+ community with hatred and lies.

But here, Daniel has helped make Illinois the most welcoming state in the Midwest for LGBTQ+ families. The legislature passed an inclusive curriculum bill that ensures all students will learn about the contributions of important LGBTQ+ historical figures. Daniel also helped spearhead initiatives that will make important strides toward equality in healthcare, the criminal justice system, and the business community.
