Gun Violence Prevention

The mass shooting at the Highland Park parade brought the threat of gun violence too close to home. Our children and families deserve to live without the stress, anxiety, and danger that is caused by our country’s gun violence epidemic. Illinois has already taken significant steps to keep deadly weapons out of the hands of dangerous people by banning ghost guns, passing universal background checks, and enacting the strongest gun dealer licensing law in the country.

Daniel is fighting to go even further by banning military-style assault weapons, keeping all guns out of the hands of unstable young men, and giving our schools the tools they need to keep our children safe. Weapons of war do not belong on our streets, in our schools, or at our parades. As state representative, Daniel will continue fighting to enact meaningful policies that will save lives and protect our community.
